FOR BUILDING OWNERS & PROPERTY MANAGERS
Commercial Building Maintenance Inspections
Understand the current condition of your commercial or multifamily property. Duke’s Commercial Inspections assesses accessible building systems and permanently installed equipment within an agreed scope, helping you identify visible maintenance concerns and areas that may need further evaluation.
Understand Current Conditions
Assess the visible condition of accessible building systems and components within your agreed inspection scope. Documented findings provide a reference for understanding the property’s condition at the time of inspection.
Identify Maintenance Concerns
Bring attention to observed deterioration, deferred maintenance, and other visible concerns. These findings can help you decide which issues to discuss with your maintenance team or qualified service providers.
Review Your Next Steps
Review the findings with Duke’s and ask questions about the inspection results. Use that discussion to better understand reported concerns and any recommendations for further evaluation.
BUILDING SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS
What Can a Building Maintenance Inspection Cover?
Your inspection scope is agreed around your property and the concerns you want assessed. Depending on that scope and safe access, the inspection may include the following building systems and components.

Roofing & Drainage
Visible roof coverings, flashings, gutters, downspouts, and drainage components for observed damage, deterioration, or drainage concerns.

Exterior & Site Conditions
Exterior walls, doors, windows, walkways, parking areas, and surface drainage for visible conditions that may warrant maintenance or further evaluation.

Heating, Cooling & Ventilation
Accessible heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment and associated visible components, with operation through normal controls where safe and appropriate.

Structure & Interior
Accessible structural components and interior areas for visible deterioration, evidence of moisture intrusion, or indications of movement.

Electrical Systems
Accessible electrical equipment, panels, visible wiring, and other components for observed defects, damage, or access concerns.

Plumbing Systems
Visible water supply and drain piping, fixtures, and water-heating equipment for observed deterioration, defects, or evidence of leaks.
Have concerns about specific equipment? Identify it when requesting your inspection so Duke’s can confirm what can be assessed. Specialized equipment testing and servicing are not automatically included in a building maintenance inspection.
